An Open Letter to the Person Reheating the Same Coffee Again
Hi.
We need to talk about the coffee currently spinning in your microwave for the third time today.
Not to judge you.
To support you.
Because reheated coffee is never actually about the coffee.
Reheated coffee means:
- you got interrupted
- you forgot about it
- your brain got overloaded
- the day started attacking you immediately
- somebody needed something every six seconds
At Exhausted Eater Coffee Co., we see you.
Honestly, adulthood contains an alarming amount of abandoned beverages.
You make the coffee with hope. Real hope. This will be the peaceful cup. The calm moment. The relaxing start to the morning.
Then suddenly:
- your phone rings
- the dog throws up
- an email ruins your mood
- you remember an appointment
- somebody asks where something is
- you forget laundry exists
- society becomes overwhelming again
Now the coffee is cold.
Again.
And somehow that tiny disappointing sip of cold coffee feels weirdly personal.
But here’s the thing.
The reheating ritual itself says something important.
You still came back for it.
Even after the stressful morning. Even after the interruptions. Even after the chaos started doing cartwheels through your schedule.
You still tried to reclaim one tiny moment for yourself.
That matters more than people think.
Small comforts count.
Tiny pauses count.
Even microwaved coffee counts.
Especially now.
So if today feels messy and unfinished and slightly overwhelming, maybe don’t measure the day by perfection.
Measure it by persistence.
You kept going.
Even if the coffee needed three attempts.
Drink coffee. Eat the day.
